The MNA Board is always looking for new Board members!
Note: the Zoning/Code Enforcement Committee and Infrastructure committee, which once were active, have faded away with no volunteers to staff them. If you are interested, email info@maplewood.org.
Infrastructure Committee – To discover, examine and report on physical wear, tear and damage to sidewalks, curbs, streets, light poles, etc. that adversely affect the appearance, safety and quality of life in Maplewood that the city is responsible for repairing. To suggest improvements to the above items and develop plans/strategies to address issues identified.
Communications Committee – Responsible for increasing communication to members and publicity for events, programs and MNA’s accomplishments; maintain the web site, Facebook pages, and Instagram, seek out opportunities to increase Maplewood and the MNAs presence in the greater Rochester community and market Maplewood. This Committee publishes the MNA newsletter.
Code Enforcement/Zoning Committee – Monitors code violation and zoning issues in the Maplewood area and assists the City of Rochester in identifying problems and enforcement in those areas. It also speaks for the MNA on issues before the City Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Membership Committee – Plan and organize programs to attract and retain dues paying members to the MNA. Sends out renewal notices for membership and election ballots. Plan and organize programs to welcome new residents to the neighborhood. Sub group organization of Block organizations.
