2015 Loose Leaf Collection

As usual, the Maplewood neighborhood south of Ridgeway is having our leaves collected in the first week of leaf collection- it will happen the week of Nov. 2-6. Pickup north of Ridge way and Charlotte will happen the week of Nov. 23-27.
Loose leaves should be left between the sidewalk and street, NOT in the street!

If you miss the loose leaf pickup, or have additional leaves you want the City to collect after that, you can still bag them and put them in your trash toter.  Please use biodegradable bags!

Council To Host Hearing on  City Asset Advertising Program

On Tuesday, October 13th, the City Council will host a public hearing at the start of the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting to hear the thoughts and comments of Rochester residents regarding the proposed legislation for a City Asset Advertising Program.  This item is Introductory Number 382  and is attached.

The Council Meeting will begin at 7:30pm and will be held at City Hall, 30 Church Street, Downtown Rochester in the Council Chambers.

“As the Chair of the Finance Committee, I feel it is important that we allow the public the opportunity to provide comment on a program that would permit private advertising on various city assets.  It is my hope that members of the community come out and offer their opinion on this proposal,”  said Carolee Conklin, Councilmember At-Large.

The hearing is open to the public, and it is not required that a person sign up in advance to speak.  For more information, please contact the City Council / Clerk Office at (585) 428-7538.

The signs redirecting westbound traffic on Ridgeway are starting to go up; construction will be starting in a couple of weeks. The City will be mailing this letter regarding the Ridgeway reconstruction to residents on that street. However, many more residents of Maplewood and other neighborhoods will be affected by the temporary one-way use of Ridgeway (eastbound ONLY) during the reconstruction. Recommend you start scouting out your alternate routes!
