Fire Department:
The station in Maplewood is located at 1477 Dewey Avenue. Common emergencies include rescue, emergency medical calls, natural gas and electrical problems, rubbish, vehicle and structure fires. The Rochester Fire Department also provides first responder services for life threatening medical emergencies. To reach the Fire Department, DIAL 911.
NET:
The Neighborhood Empowerment Team (NET) is an innovative approach to dealing with chronic quality of life issues in City neighborhoods. The NET office for Maplewood (and Charlotte) is located at the former Lake Section Office - 1495 Lake Avenue. The staff of 13 consists of both civilians and police officers. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. and the phone number is 428-7610.
Maplewood's NET team has been very proactive in working with individuals and neighborhood groups to improve public safety and safety awareness, property conservation, economic development, block club organization and neighborhood watch, traffic control and neighborhood planning.

The City's Department of Environmental Services (DES) helps provide safe, clean and attractive surroundings for residents by furnishing many essential services.
