1) Turn your clocks back this Saturday night.

2) Get your leaves to the curb this weekend (if you live south of Ridgeway-next weekend if you’re north of Ridgeway)

3) VOTE this coming Tuesday!  Politicians tend to pay attention to neighborhoods that consistently vote.

The City will be picking up loose leaves left by the curb starting November 3 for streets south of Ridgeway.  Leaf pickup is the following week for streets north of Ridgeway.   Here’s a list of FAQ’s for leaf collection:

Rochester Walks!

Rochester Walk! is a NYS-grant funded, City of Rochester initiative designed to get residents walking in their neighborhoods. With the joint efforts of the UR Center for Community Health and Action for a Better Community, Rochester Walks! worked with local residents to establish walking routes in neighborhoods around the city including in the Dewey/Driving Park area. These walking routes are all clearly marked with signage as well as sneaker stencils on the sidewalk to guide you along the way. Also featured on the Rochester Walks! routes are historical landmark plaques, describing notable people, places, and events in each neighborhood.   Read More →
